for a Wonderful 2019 Open House!
Thanks for coming and celebrating the Fire Department! We had a beautiful opening flag ceremony with our local American Legion, and our own Junior Firefighter Desiree Anderson singing the Star spangled Banner with Jason Stevens on the drum rolls.
We brought out the old 1936 Fire Engine so kids can climb aboard and parents can take lots of fun pictures. ODF joined in with their truck and equipment so you can see what they use to protect our land and houses AND Smokey the Bear made an appearance!
Many local organizations represented participated.
Chief Mike McLaughlin of Applegate Fire, Nicco Holt of Rogue River Fire, Firefighters from Rural Metro Fire, ODF and their Firefighters, The American Legion Post 50, The Red Cross, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Fuels Reduction Project (RFRI), Soil and Water Conservation, Mercy Flights, Pacifica, The Williams Community Forest Project (WCFP), Williams Country Store, Pastor Rob from the Williams Community Church, and more. There was rock painting, face-painting, Nature Art, water games with fire hoses, games and prizes for kids. The Williams Fire Department Support Group and The Country Store provided the BBQ and desserts. We had shirts for sales and belt buckles local to Williams. Our heartfelt THANK YOU to our community for joining us for Family Friendly Fun and Food!
We support teen and adult volunteers and encourage community involvement awareness!
